The monograph "The Theory and Application of Shock Elastic Waves", written by Lu Xiaobin and Wu Jiazhen, is published by China Water Resources and Hydropower Press. This book systematically summarizes and elaborates the theory, method, and engineering experience of concrete impact shock wave detection, including an overview of concrete non-destructive testing technology, basic theory of impact elastic wave, signal acquisition, processing and analysis technology, and elastic wave CT technology. , Transient Surface Wave Spectrum Analysis (SASW) method, Impact Echo (IE) method, Transient Surface Wave Test Crack Depth Technology, Impact Elastic Wave Method for Testing Elastic Wave Velocity of Different Concrete Specimens, and Structural Quality Detection. This book attempts to establish a technical system for nondestructive testing of concrete based on impact elastic waves. While considering the basic theoretical knowledge, it also pays more attention to the practical application of the technology in engineering.

    Introduction

Non-destructive testing and safety assessment of concrete structures are of great significance for ensuring the safe operation of the structure. China's research work in this area began in the mid 1950s, when the rebound method and later ultrasonic method introduced at that time are still the main means of concrete strength and internal defect detection. Its technological advancement, principle relevance, field applicability, and reliability of results can no longer meet the needs of China's rapidly developing infrastructure construction, and a more reasonable, effective and accurate method for non-destructive testing of concrete is urgently needed. Research on shock elastic wave technology abroad has begun in the 1980s and 1990s. Its derivative methods such as elastic wave CT, shock echo and transient surface spectrum analysis (SASW) have been widely used in foreign civil engineering industries. Although it has been widely used, although it has been introduced in China, the research on basic theory and applied technology is still slightly weak, which restricts the development of this technology. The purpose of writing this book is to systematically summarize and summarize the theory of impact elastic wave detection of concrete quality. Methods and engineering experience, combined with the author's research results, try to establish a complete technical system for non-destructive testing of concrete based on impact elastic waves.

    Introduction of main editors

Lu Xiaobin Doctor of Engineering, professor-level senior engineer, registered structural engineer. He graduated from the Department of Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering of Tsinghua University in 1996 and obtained his PhD in Civil Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in January 2005. He has been engaged in non-destructive testing and safety assessment of hydraulic concrete structures for a long time. He has published 5 SCI papers, more than 10 papers from EI, domestic core journals and international conferences.
